Arianespace launched the second flight of their new four stage launcher called Vega today, May 7th 2013 at 02:06 UTC from Kourou in French Guiana.
The second flight placed into orbit the Proba-V for the European Space Agency, Proba-V will map land cover as well as vegetation growth over the entire planet. Also onboard is an optical observation spacecraft for Vietnam called VNREDSat-1A. The third and final payload onboard is the ESTCube-1 satellite, Estonia's first satellite.
