On 18-20 June 1971, Hietasaari island, at a small city of Vaasa in Finland was the center of jazz and progressive rock. Some of the most famous Finnish jazz and rock bands – Tasavallan Presidentti, Karelia, Eero Koivistoinen Quartet featuring Dexter Gordon, DDT Jazzband – played there in a makeshift cheap looking stage.
