EA chief, Andrew Wilson, confirmed the holiday news via his Twitter account where he tweeted the intentions to awaiting fans and followers. <br /> <br />Work on Star Wars Battlefront was announced back in 2013 by the entertainment developer Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment (DICE). The EA subsidiary chose to produce a reboot of the extremely popular franchise instead of create a Battlefront II. The backdrop for the new release will be playable maps of planet Hoth and its satellite Endor. <br /> <br />DICE has also announced its next Battlefield game (number 5) is slated for a release sometime between October and December of 2016.
