DSI was hatched in the early 80s and ended up in the hands of John Fox, later joined by punkers like Linda Hsu, Richard Gibson & Mike Clayberg for the mid to late 80s glory days of regular vinyl presses and egregious mailorder activity...all housed under the nurturing eye of Fox Bros (United Mutation, Bullhead, Pollution) mother Nancy. With the end of the 80s, DSI squeaked by cranking out "comp tapes" and the odd piece here & there...plus got behind some gigs (a big reunion in 2009 in Vienna VA) & some archival anthologies...plus entered the streaming age, especially with video.
