In these days of burgeoning competition, Maurti doesn't wants to leave an inch of space in making its way to the top. And for that same reason, the CNG is an ultimate ground for this typical Indian carmaker.
Instead of bringing in the diesel engine to the nation, Maruti launched the Celerio with "factory-fitted CNG kit" for Rs 4.68 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The CNG variant has been made available in the manual version of VXi trim.
Under the hoods it stores the same, 1.0-litre engine of 58bhp, which would be approximately 10 bhp less than the petrol-powered version.
With the Maruti's patented iGPI system, Celerio Green is entitled to deliver efficiency of 31.79km/ kgm, probably the best numbers for the Indian aam junta who are always concerned about "mileage" from their cars.
