From the hill there runs water
Feeding down into a stream
On the bank stands a boy
Casting for the fish of his dream
Across the feilds there's a girl
Planting flowers down there on her knees
Not wishing for a prince to come take care of her
Just wishing for the love of her life, please
Down the road lives an old man
Who lost his wife of fifty years
Now he just sits there in her rocker
Holding her picture, and shedding those tears
In town there's an old lady
Wishing to find someone to hold
Someone to truely love her
Before all the love stories are told
Down the street, in a church
There's a preacher who knows each one
He prays foe each of them
Long before his day is done
We can all wish and pray
For the loves of our life
But none will come true
Until the time is right
