The moon walks when the sun sleeps,
The stars wane and the dawn leaps,
Autumn falls and Winter calls,
The cock crows as the river flows,
The spring yawns with daisy lawns,
The lillie sneezes and the lake it freezes,
The leaves they whither,
The birds fly thither,
Light is veiled by night,
And there is only blackness at your sight.
Last breath is drawn,
Cold like dawn,
A thousand tears follow after.
