We leave all things upon this earth,
In which we had a blessed birth;
The soul alone cannot perish,
But will its bad and good, cherish.
God will ask just a questions few;
‘Did you love me with all your heart?
Did you give your brethren his due? '
Did you do well your earthly part? '
God wants all souls to be with Him,
But all the better than when made;
A branch of vine, man, He does trim,
To leaf and bud and fruit as bade!
How happy will He be to see
Each one of us obey His will!
A loving Father eagerly,
He waits with banquet prepared still!
