Pakistan protesters keep up calls for PM's resignation

It's been one week and despite the soaring heat thousands of protesters continue to gather outside Pakistan's parliament.

They sit, sing and dance in a show of support for this man.

Former cricket star Imran Khan is demanding the resignation of the prime minister he accuses of corruption and election rigging.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) PAKISTANI OPPOSITION LEADER IMRAN KHAN, SAYING:

"Nawaz Sharif thought that these people would come here for one or two days, then they would get tired and return to their homes. It is hot here, it is sultry weather here, it rained last night, no worries. How long can one stay here? Nawaz Sharif, listen to me carefully, I am telling you about myself, I have decided that either I will free Pakistan from the kings like you or I will prefer death."

Khan and his supporters aren't alone.

These protesters are here in support of cleric Tahir ul-Qadri, who controls a network of Islamic schools and hospitals.
