Orange, yellow and shades of blue
Dancing within the fire
Clinging to the crackling of the wood
As the stars twinkle in a midnight sky
The moon has hidden herself amongst the clouds
Not wanted to be seen for the night
Strange how nature is like mortals that cling to this earth
The moon hiding, hearts dancing with fire
The consumption of the wood as time goes by
Needing more to keep it alive
Ashes fall turning cold unto the ground
Flakes of gray and white all that remains
Stirred and mixed it still does not ignite
Lying dormant and useless
Till the gardener sees a use
To make the flowers bloom
From the moment the match is struck
The fire keeps you warm
Then with time and no attention it slowly fades to ashes
Left unattended burning out to dust
All things need attention
Let not the fire burn out
For the flowers will bloom
But the soul remains cold
