The sun has risen
Its warmth is upon my cheek
The clear blue sky declares
Today I shall find what I seek

The road ahead is open
And free of obstacles
Nothing stands in my way
Or adheres like barnacles

I am free to pursue
Delights that fascinate
Able to illuminate
With thoughts that create
