There is something beautiful in a Robin's song.
The Robin's Song
by Barbara Lynn Terry
To the nest a twig he did bring
And setting it in place he did sing
His song of pure delight
As the sun chased away the night.
The robin's song
Goes out along
The currents of air
With a melody so fair.
Then he flew away again
Only to bring another thing
As he did his best
To build this nest
Where his young would grow
And his song would flow.
This song I have heard
Through all these years
That chased my fears
And put me at ease
So now I can rest at least
In blissful peace.
