Life is a pathway
Some is covered and dark
Though some is sunny and bright
But both leave their mark
Though you try to remember
This long riddled road
Life is too much
To bear memory's load
Still you attempt to recall
Every tree, every twig
But life's too confusing
Too winded and big
Once you choose a path
You can still come back
Though some try to find short cuts
And soon lose the track
Life is forgiving
But not all the time
And the track will then stop
So you'll find your own line
