Workers from Landmark Signs install the numeral "5" atop One Times Square. The carefully controlled operation takes about an hour because the retired numeral "4" has to be safely removed and lowered to the roof deck before the new "5" is lifted up by a hoist and then bolted into position.

In December visitors to Times Square were able to take a selfie in front of the lit numerals on the day of their delivery - December 16th, 2014.

There are 238 Philips LED lightbulbs in the numerals "1" and "5" combined. The "1" has 72 bulbs and the "5" houses 166 bulbs. These bulbs can be bought by consumers anywhere Philips Lighting products are sold.
