Thousands joined Thursday night's pro-government rally in Quito. Participants stressed their own personal identification with and benefits from the Citizens' Revolution along with their commitment to President Rafael Correa's policies promoting social equality. The opposition says it will renew its protests following Pope Francis' July 5-8 visit and the pro-government Unidos Front, comprised of 16 political and social movements, will mobilize its supporters as well.
