Supporters of President Rafael Correa’s administration rallied in Quito today in support of his policies of economic justice and wealth redistribution. On Thursday some labor and indigenous groups will protest these policies with marches and highway blockades. Some indigenous groups have condemned the actions and Bolivian President Evo Morales has called on indigenous groups not to be manipulated by the country’s elite. Correa calls the opposition protests attempts to undermine his government and calls on his supporters to defend democracy. teleSUR
