Students, parents and teacher representing 37 indigenous communities and 16 out of the 47 regional languages of Peru have come to Lima to share their culture and ancestral knowledge and to work on keeping their languages alive. Many of those present had been punished at school as children for speaking their native language or misprounouncing a word in Spanish.
