Ashtu siç pritej, qeveria ka miratuar sot shitjen e kompanisë shtetërore te naftës "Albpetrol" tej kompania "Vetro Energy". Ka qene konsorciumi amerikan me udheheqese "Vetro Energy" ai qe ka bere ne ankand oferten financiare me te madhe, 850 milionë dollarë, duke u renditur ne vend te pare me 97.79 pike. Gjate mbledhjes se qeverise, kryeministri Berisha tha se ky proces do te ndikoje ndjeshëm ne zhvillim e reformave ne te ardhmen pasi kjo kontrate jep te drejtën për shfrytëzim dhe nxjerrje te naftës, qe ne një ekonomi te lire tregu, do te sjelle me shume fitime. Sipas kreut te qeverise, fale ketij procesi qytetaret shqiptare do te kenë mundësi te përfitojnë me shume te ardhura.
