Krijimi i nje tregu unik Shqipëri-Kosovë edhe pse nje ide e hershme duket e largët per t'u konkretizuar. Ndërtimi i rrugës se kombit ka dhene efekte te lehta ne shkëmbimet tregtare mes dy vendeve, por serish ato mbeten ne nivele te ulëta. Zëvendëskryeministrja e Kosovës, Mimoza Kusari Lila thote se jane ndere efektet e para te rrugës se kombit. Eksperte te ekonomisë se Kosovës janë te mendimit se rruga e kombit duhet te zgjatet edhe me tej, si nje mundësi per zhvillimin ekonomik te dy vendeve. Por tregu i përbashkët Shqipëri-Kosovë nuk lidhet vetëm nëpërmjet infrastrukturës. Bizneset shqiptare argumentojnë se ne drejtim te legjislacionit është bere pak pune. Ndonëse ideja e nje tregu unik Shqipëri-Kosovë përmendet nga çdo qeveri, deri me tani te dy vendet nuk kane një strategji te qarte zhvillimi për konkretizimin e kësaj nisme.
