2013 do te jete viti me i vështire për arsimin shqiptar. Buxheti për këtë sektor, qe nga qeveria cilësohet ende prioritet ka ulje te ndjeshme. 2.7 % është buxheti i akorduar nga qeveria për vitin e ardhshëm. Gjate prezantimit ne komisionin e edukimit, ministri i arsimit ka pranuar se ky nuk është buxheti me i mire duke përdorur ndaj tij termin realist.
Kryetarja e komisionit te edukimit Valentina Leskaj deklaroi se ky është buxheti me i keq dhe me i ulet ne 15 vitet e fundit. Sipas zonjës Leskaj, arsimi rrezikohet nga rrënimi, ku përjashtim nuk bëjnë as godinat e shkollave qe ketë vit do te kenë investimet me te ulëta ne dekadën e fundit. Diskutimet per projektbuxhetin ne komisionin e edukimit kane shkaktuar debate mes deputeteve te opozitës dhe mazhorances. Per kreun e arsimit, edhe për 2013 do te jene prioritet investimet ne shkolla dhe arsimi profesional, ndonëse për këtë te fundit ministria nuk ka arritur objektivin e vendosur per te tërhequr 405 te nxënësve ne arsimin profesional.
