At least two people were killed as heavy flooding hit Ellicott City, Maryland, on July 30. Almost 6 inches of rain, a full month’s usual rainfall, fell on the city from 7pm to 9pm on Saturday night. Many storefronts were torn apart and roadways collapsed under the weight of the floodwaters.
