HUA HIN, THAILAND — A string of seemingly co-ordinated bomb attacks hit popular tourist spots hit Thailand on Thursday and Friday leaving four people and many wounded.
The first bomb went off early Thursday occurred Trang province, killing one and injuring six. Later that night, twin explosions killed one Thai woman and injured 19 others at a popular tourist area in Hua Hin, the Bangkok Post reported.
Hua Hin was hit by two more explosions just hours later on Friday morning that killed one and wounded several others, the Associated Press reported citing local police.
Early Friday, two more bombs exploded outside a police station in Surat Thani killing one person and wounding several others,Time reported citing local media. More explosions were also reported in Phuket, Patong, Loma Beach, Phang Nga, and Takua Pa.
Thai authorities have ruled out terrorism in the attacks and have instead placed blame on acts of local sabotage.
