U.S.A. — From glitter boobs to glitter butts, the trend of glitter-bombing women’s titillating assets is showing no signs of slowing down. With the glitter-bombing of vaginas starting to trend, some medical professionals are drawing a line.
Passion Dust, glitter for the vagina, comes in the form of a capsule which women can insert into their vagina prior to sex. Once the capsule naturally dissolves in the vagina over the course of an hour, partners can enjoy the wonder of a sparkly romp.
The manufacturer claims Passion Dust “does not create any physical sensations or physically alter your sexual performance,” just adds “sparkle and flavor to your natural vaginal fluids to make the experience of lovemaking that much more fun and enjoyable for you and your partner.”
Gynaecologist and Dr. Jen Gunter claims the glitter, depending on whether it’s made of plastic or sugar, could result in a nasty vaginal discharge, or create a hotbed for bacteria, and cause vaginal contact dermatitis. The company maintains Passion Dust is safe, and takes the position that if you find yourself experiencing uncomfortable vaginal issues, you probably had them all along.
The Passion Dust website currently says the distributors have temporarily run out of stock.
