A wildfire started near Morgan Hill in Santa Clara, California, on Monday, September 26, destroying at least 12 houses and 16 other structures in eight days. As of October 4, the Loma Fire had spread nearly 4,500 acres and was 92 percent contained, according to the Cal Fire. The evacuation orders and road closures in the area were lifted at the time of writing.
