This is an easy to make village style spicy Mutton Curry where mutton pieces are marinated in masala and cooked in delicious gravy.
Ingredients:
For Red Masala Paste:
2 tbsp Oil
2 Onions, cut lengthwise
2 tbsp Coriander Seeds
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 Cup Grated Coconut
1/2 inch Cinnamon
3-4 Cloves
2 Dagad Phool / Black Stone Flower
10-12 Dry Red Chillies
Green Masala Paste:
1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves
10-12 Garlic
1/2 inch Ginger
1 Green Chilli
For Gravy / Rassa
1/2 kg Mutton
Salt
3 tbsp Oil
Water
Method:
- In a pan heat some oil.
- Add chopped onions, coriander seeds, poppy seeds, turmeric powder & grated coconut. Mix everything well.
- Then add cinnamon, cloves, dagad phool and dry red chillies. Saute everything well for few minutes.
- Let the mixture cool down completely.
- Grind it to a paste and keep it aside.
- Make a paste of coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, salt and green chillies. Marinate the mutton pieces with this paste.
- In a pan heat some oil. Add the marinated mutton. Mix everything well.
- Then add the ground masala paste. Mix well.
- Add little water. Let the mutton cook completely.
- Delicious Mutton Rassa is ready to be served.
