Astronomers have predicted that a bright new star will shine in the sky by the year 2022. After discovering a binary star in the summer constellation Cygnus, astronomers forecast that the swan will burst into a red nova. A red nova is caused when two stars collide, causing a distinct red color to shine. Larry Molnar of Calvin College said during the American Astronomical Society meeting.
