Mexico’s Colima volcano continued to erupt on Monday, January 9, the latest in a series of eruptions.
The latest activity at the volcano started on January 7, when ash and smoke dusted surrounding towns and led to the closure of a nearby airport.
Colima’s Civil Protection Agency reported that a pyroclastic flow, a dense cloud of hot ash and gas, was expected as a result of the blast and warned of falling ash in nearby towns.
