Local media have reported an explosion at EDF’s Flamanville nuclear power plant in northern France. Ouest France newspaper reported there was a possibility of some injuries.

Authorities have said there is ‘no nuclear risk’.



According to the paper, firefighters were alerted to a fire and an explosion in the engine room around 10am local time and emergency services were sent to the location.
