The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on May 10 that they had “completely” liberated Tabqa city and the nearby dam from Islamic State.
Video posted to YouTube on May 13 showed SDF member Ahmed Mohamed giving a tour of the facilities, and highlighting damage to the buildings.
