Smoke billowed from lower Manhattan following a fire at a historic synagogue on Sunday, May 14.
The 3-alarm fire broke out at the Beth Hamedrash Hagodol, an Orthodox Jewish congregation along 60 Norfolk Street, at around 7 pm Sunday. FDNY brought the fire under control around two hours later.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was unclear at the time of writing.
