Ingredients:-
For the batter:-
1 cup Rice
½ cup Bengal Gram
¼ cup Split Black Gram
¼ cup Split Green Gram
7-8 Fenugreek Seeds
1 tsp. Cumin Seeds
Water
½ cup Puffed Rice (Soaked in water for 5 minutes)
Salt
Salt Water
For Sweet Coconut Milk:-
Milk of 1 Coconut
Salt to taste
100 gms. Jaggery
Water
Method:-
The Batter:-
- In a bowl mix batter ingredients and soak them all in water for 8-10 hours.
- Wash it all completely once soaking process is done, add soaked puffed rice and grind in mixer/grinder.
- Once the mixture is ground, let it ferment overnight.
- Add salt and water in the fermented batter and mix well.
- Heat a non-stick pan and sprinkle salt water on it.
- Spread the batter on the pan in a circular shape and cover with a lid.
- Take off the lid after some time.
- Once the base turns brown take the Khaproli off the pan.
- Grease the upper part of the Khaproli with water so that they don’t stick to each other.
The Sweet Coconut Milk:-
- Mix coconut milk with salt, jaggery and water.
- Stir until the jaggery melts completely.
Soak the Khaproli in coconut milk for 5-10 minutes and serve!
Alternatively Khaprolis can be had with any type of chutney.
