പുതിയ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കോച്ചിനെ തേടി ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ബോര്‍ഡ് അപേക്ഷ ക്ഷണിച്ചു. ചാമ്പ്യന്‍ ട്രോഫിയോടെ നിലവിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കോച്ച് അനില്‍ കുംബ്ലെയുടെ കാലവധി അവസാനിക്കുന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് ബിസിസിഐയുടെ നടപടി.
കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ജൂണിലാണ് കുംബ്ലെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കോച്ചായി ചുമതലയേറ്റത്. ഒരു വര്‍ഷത്തേക്കായിരുന്നു കരാര്‍. ആറ് കോടി രൂപയായിരുന്നു കുംബ്ലെയുടെ പ്രതിഫലം.
