Arakshaka is a 2012 Kannada Psychological thriller film starring Upendra, Sadha and Ragini Dwivedi in the lead roles. The film is directed by P. Vasu. Krishna Prajwal has produced the film under Udaya Ravi Films. Gurukiran is the music director of the film. Karnataka`s former CM and State Janata Dal President, H. D. Kumaraswamy released the audio of the film. The film is loosely inspired by the 2010 Hollywood film Shutter Island.

The story is about Arun (Upendra) who is an aspiring cop but he grows under the shadow of his suspicious mother Saraswathi (Seetha). On the other hand his twin brother Vishnu (Upendra) grows with his father and becomes a doctor. Arun is in love with Katherine (Sada) but due to his mom, he suspects Katherine’s relation with Stephen (Adhi Lokesh) who is actually her brother. He kills both and discovers the truth later. But an accident lands him in mental asylum as he loses his memory. In comes Vishnu to clear his brother of all accusations
