Vasant Panchami, also spelled Basant Panchami, is a Hindu spring festival. Here Basant Means “Spring” and Panchami stands for “ the fifth day”, it occurs on the fifth day after Lunar of Magh month. On this day worshiping goddess Saraswathi is a major part of the tradition, According to book “Brahma Vaivarta Puran”, Sri Krishna granted Goddess Saraswati a boon that she will be worshipped on Basant Panchami.
