Two Israeli soldiers were wounded on February 12 after “accidentally” getting lost in Jenin City in the north of the West Bank, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said.
Residents hit and threw rocks at the soldiers’ vehicle and stole a gun from one of them, The Times of Israel said, citing the IDF.
Palestinian forces in the area reportedly protected the soldier after the initial attack and escorted them from the area.
The Israeli soldiers were reported to have been met by ambulances at the Jalameh checkpoint at the border, north of Jenin.
