A pair of adults and a young child, believed to be a family, were escorted off a Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago to Atlanta on March 14, after the child grew frightened to sit in her own seat, according to a witness.
Passenger Alexis Armstrong, who filmed the interaction between the crew and the people taken off the flight, said that “all I really wanted was [the video] to be seen by [Southwest] … I am a mom and my heart was hurting for this dad. Southwest owes them an apology,”
In a statement released to local media, Southwest Airlines said that “a conversation escalated on board between the crew and a customer traveling with a small child.” Southwest said that the passengers were “booked on the next flight to Atlanta after the original flight continued as planned”.
