Ann Coulter slammed President Trump on Twitter over the spending bill.
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter took to Twitter on Friday and slammed President Trump for signing the $1.3 trillion spending bill.
"CONGRATULATIONS, PRESIDENT SCHUMER!" Coulter wrote in one tweet.
And in response to Trump's comment that he would "never sign another bill like this again," Coulter tweeted, "Yeah, because you'll be impeached."
The bill didn't include a long-term funding commitment for the border wall that Trump wanted.
"Trump, who decided last fall to end the DACA program, was seeking a deal that would give Democrats protections they sought for the program's recipients in exchange for additional funding of $25 billion for his long-promised U.S.-Mexico border wall," the Washington Post reported. "The bill includes $1.6 billion for fencing and other border security measures."
Coulter wasn't the only one to criticize Trump over the spending bill.
"I know he wanted more money for the military, and that's incredibly important," said Fox News' Jesse Watters. "but he sacrificed everything else to get it."
"This was a huge defeat for the president on his signature issue. It's really, really bad. There's no way to spin it," Watters added.
Coulter was a big supporter of campaign-era Trump, but has been increasingly critical of him because, according to her, he hasn't proven to be as tough on immigration as he'd suggested he would be.
