Former Catalan minister Clara Ponsati appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff’s Court on April 12 for a preliminary hearing to decide on an extradition warrant issued by the Spanish government.
Her lawyer, Aamer Anwer, can be heard saying that two more preliminary hearings would be held before a full hearing begins on July 30.
With Ponsati at his side, Anwer told the assembled crowd that she believed she was being persecuted for her political beliefs and would fight against her extradition.
