South Korea's Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha held phone talks with her Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan on Monday... to seek the city state's cooperation on the North Korea-U.S. summit set for June 12th in Singapore.
The two agreed that the summit is a very important event for peace and denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.
Balakrishnan also said,.... Singapore will do its best to successfully host the summit,... adding that it will need help from Seoul, which hosted the recent inter-Korean summit,... and in dealing with North Korea.
Kang shared some of Seoul's pre-summit groundwork,... and explained South Korea's efforts for lasting peace on the Korean peninsula.
