Heavy rain caused flash flooding and road closures across Raleigh, North Carolina, on Monday evening, May 22.

Flooding submerged and trapped parked cars at Crabtree Valley Mall, as seen in these videos taken by Anyta Boulom, an employee at the mall.

Mall officials confirmed to ABC that there was flooding on the front side of the mall and water in the parking deck.

“Heavy rain has made Crabtree Creek rise quickly,” the Raleigh city authorities tweeted. “Glenwood area (near Crabtree) is currently in minor flood stage.” Credit: Anyta Boulom via Storyful
