A wildfire dubbed the “County Fire” – which stretched across several parts of Sacramento, California – prompted evacuations with residents being warned of dry winds and high temperatures.

By early July 2, the fire had crossed 44,500 acres and was 2% contained.

The fire has sent smoke and fog as far as San Francisco, causing the sky to appear orange, reducing visibility and decreasing air quality.
