A brush fire that ignited on July 6 burned 150 acres and destroyed several structures that day, according to NBC Bay Area. Evacuations were ordered after the fire began to spread along Interstate 8.
The fire, dubbed the West Fire, was zero-percent contained and was growing at a “critical rate of speed,” according to Cal Fire officials.
