The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings as the remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl washed over Puerto Rico on Monday, July 9.
Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour were expected, the weather service said. Between two and three inches of rain could fall in several hours, a news report said.
More than 12,000 power customers were without electricity, down from nearly 50,000 without power, a news report said. Service was restored to a power station in Carolina, which brought the number down. Credit: Diana Cruz via Storyful
