Taylor Swift paid tribute to Aretha Franklin during a concert in the Queen of Soul’s hometown of Detroit on August 28.

During her sold-out Ford Field performance, Swift asked for a moment of silence from the crowd, “so that every single one of us could reflect on our love and respect for her and for everything she did in her life,”
