However, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is working on developing firecrackers that reduce the emission of particulate matter by 30-35% and other hazardous chemicals like nitrous oxide and sulphur dioxide.


दिवाली पर पटाखों की बिक्री को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सख्‍त हिदायत दी है कि दिवाली पर पटाखे जलाने पर रोक नहीं है। लेकिन पटाखे रात 8 से 10 बजे के बीच सिर्फ 2 घंटे के लिए ही जलाए जा सकेंगे। इसके अलावा दिवाली हो या शादी-ब्‍याह का मौका। हर त्योहार पर सिर्फ ग्रीन पटाखे यानी कम प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले पटाखों का ही इस्तेमाल किया जा सकेगा। आइए जानते है कि आखिर क्‍या होते हैं ग्रीन पटाखे और ऐसे कौन से पटाखे हैं जिन्हें जलाने से प्रदूषण कम होगा?
