Haveri district is the gateway to the districts of North Karnataka. Gadag is a district with its own heritage in the fields of arts, literature. The Haveri - Gadag Lok Sabha constituency was created in the assembly constituencies of Haveri and Gadag district.

ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲು ಹಾವೇರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ. ಕಲೆ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಮುಂತಾದ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಗದಗ. ಹಾವೇರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗದಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಹಾವೇರಿ-ಗದಗ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ರಚನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
