Earlier in the day, interpretation of the laws led to David Hussey being declared not out despite obstructing the field. Matthew Wade's drive went straight to Suresh Raina at short cover. Wade looked for a quick single. Hussey who was returning to the striker's end, was seen clearly obstructing Raina's throw to Dhoni where the India skipper was in a position to run-out Hussey. Instead the ball hits Hussey's outstretched hand and gets deflected. Dhoni and Raina went up in appeal immediately. After a discussion, the on-field umpires referred the decision to the TV umpire. The third umpire ruled in favour of Hussey leaving Dhoni explaining to the umpires that he thought otherwise.
