5 senior Congress ministers have reportedly offered to quit from the cabinet to work towards strengthening the party. This comes amid speculations of a rejig in both the party and the UPA in order to gear up for the 2014 general elections. The ministers concerned are Law Minister Salman Khurshid, MoS in the PMO V Narayansami, Overseas Affairsv Minister Vyalar ravi, Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Aazd and Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh.
