A former member of the Maharashtra Under-19 cricket squad and another man have been arrested for allegedly abducting and murdering a youth in Meerut. Police say 22-year-old cricketer Vipin Giri and his three accomplices shot dead 21-year-old Keshav, a resident of Jagriti Vihar locality. The four of them had abducted him and shot him dead on November 9. Giri and Ankit, an accomplice who was also a driver have allegedly confessed to the crime during interrogation. The four allegedly took Keshav to Bulandshehar district and after shooting him dead, disposed of the body in a nearby canal. The police are yet to recover the body though. Two other accused are absconding. A property dispute is said to be the reason behind the killing.
