Life in the hills of Darjeeling continues to remain paralyzed even as the bandh enters its 10th day in the midst of 72 hour deadline set by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to withdraw the bandh ends today.
On the other hand GJM leaders and supporters gathered at the main areas in Darjeeling town and shouted slogans in support of Gorkhaland and against the government's deadline. At least 8 GJM members were arrested from Darjeeling yesterday. Meanwhile Cable TV operators have resumed their services after being ordered to stop.
